All Katy Sue products so far, have been a hit so when I heard the humming of whispers on a new fabulous texture mat, my eyes lit with excitement and of course we just had to get some in!
Technique– We recommend using modelling paste as it’s less sticky and dries firmer. – Wash and dry mat well before use – Use cornflour to ease release of your paste – Put the mat on a firm surface and roll over the layer of fondant. – Use even pressure on rolling pin to ensure an even finish – Peel away fondant from mat.
Once the paste has been peeled away from the mat, you can then use a round cutter to cut the top of a cupcake for covering or whatever cake is required.
I love these fabulous silicone mats, they surprised me with the quality of silicone and the ease of using them. A definite must have for an ever growing Sugarcraft fanatic!
